Your New Self Care Rituals for 2021

You’ve made it through 2020, and now it's time to reset your self care rituals for 2021 and focus on you! Applying a plush facial lotion, lighting a candle with intention, spending time in nature, meeting with friends, and keeping healthy boundaries are all forms of self care that help us shine brighter. Renew your routine and start the year off feeling energized!

Take a look at where your day-to-day may be out of balance with this fun exercise to inspire new rituals that fit you best for the year ahead. The Wheel of Life explores what areas may need more attention. Use the results as a guide and see some of our favorite rituals below!


Any amount of stillness paired with deep breathing has shown to be a game changer for the mind, body, and soul. There’s no right or wrong way to meditate. You can simply focus on your breath while seated comfortably, find a guided meditation that calls out to you, or attend a class in your area. When we keep our blood flowing by staying active and dedicated to movement practices, our mental and physical state carries us through our day in a new way. Similar to meditation, any amount of exercise can significantly improve our wellbeing when done regularly. Walking, stretching, swimming, and more can all bring about a total shift in the body and mind, which trickles into other areas of our lives. The 6-Minute Miracle Morning combines exercise, silence, affirmations, visualizations, reading, and journaling into a 6-minute routine! A set of simple changes can have long-lasting effects.


Embody slow living by mindfully taking pleasure in a cup of green tea or warm lemon water alongside natural candlelight first thing in the morning, or as part of an evening bath ritual. Often the way we start and finish our days has a big ripple effect on the rest of our lives. Write down, or say aloud 3 things you are grateful for each morning and evening.
